Figure 10: Mushroom body neurons. The neopteran calyx is supplied by collaterals from axons of antennal lobe projection neurons that eventually terminate in the superior lateral protocerebrum. This region also receives the endings of some of the efferent neurons that arise in the mushroom body's medial lobe.
