Figure 12: Efferent dendrites reflect internal organization. The dendritic specializations of this medial lobe efferent neuron are layered, each layer corresponding to each alternate lamina across the lobe. The axon of this neuron, like passes through the inferior lateral protocerebrum (i l pr) to terminate in the s l pr. Efferent neurons from Drosophila have comparable projections.
