At this plane of section, the dorsal surface of the central body complex fan-shaped body (or superior arch) and protocerebral bridge can been seen. Posterior and lateral are the calyces of the mushroom body Anterior and lateral to these is the lateral horn, lateral and medial protocerebrum. The alpha lobe of mushroom body can also be seen.
