The ventral components of the central body complex can been seen in this section. In particular, the noduli and ventral bodies. The dorsal glomeruli of the antennal lobes can be seen. Laterally the ventrolateral protocerebrum is revealed with the great commisure medially. The optic lobe can be seen revealing from medial to lateral, the lobula, lobula plate, inner chiasma, medulla, outer chiasma and lamina.
