The ventral region of the central brain is revealed here with the anterior antennal lobe, and the posterior antennomechanosensory region and, bordered laterally by the ventrolateral protocerebrum. The optic lobe is revealed, from medial to lateral; the lobula, lobula plate, inner chiasma, medulla, outer chiasma and lamina.
