The margin between supraoesophageal and suboesophageal ganglia can be seen here with the ventral region of the antennal mechanosensory region, posterior slope and the dorsal surface of the suboesophageal ganglia are visible. The optic lobe is revealed, from medial to lateral; the lobula, lobula plate, inner chiasma, medulla, outer chiasma and lamina.
