The suboesophageal commisure can be seen bordered posteriorly by the posterior slope, and anteriorly by the suboesophageal ganglia itself. The optic lobe is revealed from medial to lateral; the lobula, lobula plate, inner chiasma, medulla, outer chiasma and lamina.
