A composite from two successive optical sections (frontal view) showing the dendrites of an extrinsic (efferent) neuron that is associated with terminal swellings from the beta lobe of the mushroom body. Kenyon cell axon terminals of the gamma lobe are indicated as K. ax. The vertical width of the left (+X) dendritic tree is approximate 20 microns.
