The central body complex. A composite from two optical sections, showing dendritic branches of the fan-shaped body (f.b.) and connections to the noduli (no). Noduli are divided into upper and lower segments, as evidenced by one densely impregnated set of elements that arises from a stave (st) of the f.b. to cross the mid-line and invade the lower half of the +X nodulus.
