Fan-shaped body of the central body complex showing the bilayered terminal of a wide-field neuron arising from sensory neuropil in the lateral deutocerebrum. A connection (tb-vb) is visible between the ventral bodies (vb) and the central body complex, and the fan-shaped body's lateral protuberance (fb-lpt).
