This is at a deeper focus from the same section as Y= -7. The -X buttress of the pr.br. is shown associated with relative thick fibres arranged parallel to the Z axis. These are equivalent to the second posterior vertical fascicle of Musca (p.v.fasc.2). Another vertically oriented group of quite thick axons originates from the l.ho and can be followed downwards to the remaining small part of the inferior lateral protocerebrum at level Y= -8.
