The thoracic NB 2-4 lineage is composed of 8 to 12 neurons in the dorsal cortex, projecting ipsilaterally and contralaterally across the anterior commissure. The contralateral fibers belong to motoneurons (2-4M1; 2-4M2) and exit the nerve cord through the anterior root of the intersegmental nerve. Endplates have not been detected.
