The NB 3-2 clone comprises 10 to 18 cells extending from the lateral to dorsolateral cortex of which 3-4 (most likely motoneurons) are separated dorsal and posterior from the main cluster. 1-2 contralaterally projecting interneuronal fibres were observed which develop rather late (late stage 16) (3-2I). The majority of fibers in the lineage belong to motoneurons that form two fascicles. One fascicle with 2 to 3 fibers exits the nerve cord through the segmental nerve (3-2Ms); endplates can be detected in the same segment on one muscle of the ventral oblique group and two muscles of the lateral group (most likely muscles LL1 and LT3). The second fascicle also consists of about 3 fibres and departs through the anterior root of the intersegmental nerve (3-2Mia); 2 to 3 muscles of the dorsolateral to dorsal group in the next posterior segment are innervated by these projections.
