The thoracic clone is composed of 5 to 9 neurons in the dorsolateral cortex. The only projection is motoneuronal, exiting the ventral ganglion through the segmental nerve. One of the neurons was, in all cases, shifted medially. Endplate-like structures have been detected in the region of muscles LT4 and DT1. The abdominal lineage resembles the thoracic one, but contains only 3 to 4 neurons.
